Sister Concepts Pop Pie Co. & Stella Jean’s Ice Cream Open In San Diego's South Park

Pop Pie Co. and Stella Jean’s Ice Cream have officially opened their newest location in San Diego's South Park neighborhood in part of the building that previously housed South Park Brewing before a fire in 2020.Ìý

Founded in 2016 by Steven Torres and Executive Chef Gan Suebsarakham, Pop Pie Co. has earned a dedicated following for its globally inspired savory and sweet pies, all crafted with a signature all-butter crust. The brand has steadily expanded across Southern California, with locations in University Heights, Costa Mesa, Point Loma, Pacific Beach, and Carlsbad. Stella Jean's Ice Cream, the duo's sister concept, offers small-batch ice cream in unique, rotating flavors, using high-quality ingredients and creative flavor combinations.

The South Park space, which was rebuilt after the fire, provides an inviting setting for both longtime fans and new customers to enjoy Pop Pie Co.'s rotating selection of savory and sweet pies, as well as Stella Jean's ice cream offerings. The soft opening for the new South Park location will run from 2pm to 9pm, with regular daily hours to begin soon, set at 8am to 9pm. The location marks another milestone in the brands' expansion across San Diego.

This expansion brings Pop Pie Co. and Stella Jean’s Ice Cream to a historic neighborhood with a strong sense of community, right next door to fellow South Park staple Kindred and German beer bar, Bock, which also recently opened.

Pop Pie Co. & Stella Jean’s Ice Cream's newest location is located at 1517 30th Street in San Diego's South Park community. For more information, visit and .
