Piedra Santa Argentinian Inspired Steakhouse Opening In San Diego's Little Italy

A new South American dining experience is coming to San Diego's Little Italy. Piedra Santa, an Argentinian-inspired steakhouse and bar, is set to open this spring.

Piedra Santa is the latest project from Alberto Morreale's Alba Restaurant Group, which also operates Farmers Table La Mesa, Farmers Bottega, Limoncello, and Smokey and the Brisket. The ground-floor restaurant space at Best Western Plus Bayside Inn is in the final stretch of a full remodel that will transform it into an upscale steakhouse, drawing inspiration from Argentina’s world-renowned parrillas.

Argentinian steakhouses, or parrillas, are known for their high-quality meats, slow grilling techniques, and bold flavors. Piedra Santa is expected to feature a menu centered around premium cuts of beef cooked over an open flame, complemented by classic South American sides like chimichurri, provoleta (grilled provolone cheese), and empanadas. The restaurant will also have a full bar, offering handcrafted cocktails, an extensive selection of wines - especially Malbecs from Argentina - and a variety of spirits and beers.

Morreale has long been a partner in San Diego Dining Group, the restaurant collective led by Vincenzo Loverso, but the two recently parted ways. San Diego Dining Group operates an extensive portfolio of restaurants across the county, including Greystone The Steakhouse, Osetra The Fishhouse, Osteria Panevino, The Butcher's Cut, Allegro, Vincenzo, and the recently-opened Romanissimo. Some of the group's ventures also include partners Antonino Cusimano and Marco Provino.

Piedra Santa is expected to open this spring at 555 West Ash Street in San Diego's Little Italy. For more information, visitÌý.
