San Diego is set to host the for the first time, a celebrated event known for its curated collection of the strange and unusual, taking over the JULEP Venue on March 29-30. This immersive marketplace, a haven for collectors, artists, and those drawn to the macabre, promises an eclectic array of spine-chilling items and engaging experiences, including a meet-and-greet with renowned composer, Danny Elfman.

The Oddities Flea Market will transform the JULEP Venue in Middletown into a bazaar of the bizarre, featuring vendors like Alex Streeter, Crescent Kiss Oddities, and Nature's Oddities, who will showcase medical history ephemera, anatomical curiosities, taxidermy, osteological specimens, handcrafted jewelry, home décor, and one-of-a-kind artwork. Attendees can explore offerings from over 100 vendors, including unique finds like vintage oddities and handcrafted curiosities, making it a must-visit for both seasoned collectors and casual browsers.Ìý

Additional experiences include flash tattoos by Old Rose Tattoo (18+), a book signing of The Witch’s Door by authors Ryan Matthew Cohn and Regina M. Rossi, and the chance to meet adoptable senior dogs from Frosted Faces Foundation. Food and drink options will be available from vendors like Mystical Coffee Co., La Pinsa Mia Pizza, and Sensational Sweets, ensuring visitors can refuel while they explore. A highlight of the event is the exclusive meet-and-greet with Danny Elfman, the iconic musician known for his work on films like Beetlejuice and The Nightmare Before Christmas, scheduled for Saturday, March 29, from 2-7pm. This special event, dubbed "Oddities & Overtures," requires from the main flea market entry, with tiers ranging from $180 to $300. All attendees will receive an exclusive event print signed by Elfman, while Tier 2 and 3 ticket holders can take a personal photo with him, and Tier 3 attendees can have one additional item signed. Note that a Saturday Oddities Flea Market ticket is mandatory for access, and the Danny Elfman event does not take place on Sunday.
