Owner Hsi Ming Cheng, who also helms Zen Modern Asian Bistro in Sabre Springs, brought his signature Pan-Asian comfort food menu to the Little Italy Food Hall when it opened in 2018, serving comfort food dishes until the venue's sudden closure last month. Cheng also previously ran a Zen Modern Asian Bistro outpost at The Sky Deck Del Mar.
It is believed Cheng will soon reimagine his nine-year-old Sabre Springs establishment as Mein Street Asian Kitchen, offering a diverse lineup of Chinese and Asian fusion dishes. Diners can anticipate a creative twist on classics, including savory housemade Pork Potstickers, tender and juicy wings, and the refreshing Honey Boba Milk Tea, alongside a selection of beer and wine to complement the meal. There will also be a selection of menu favorites from Zen Modern Asian Bistro.
