Known for its d枚ner kebabs, shawarma plates, and fresh salads, the growing The Kebab Shop chain continues its steady expansion across California, Texas, and Florida. The upcoming San Marcos location will open at 336 Twin Oaks Valley Road in a former Bank of America unit, while the Escondido outpost will take over the former Chipotle space at 1200 Auto Park Way in the Escondido Promenade shopping center. Though an official opening date has yet to be confirmed, the company recently hinted on social media that both locations could launch as early as March 2025.
Founded in San Diego in 2008, The Kebab Shop has grown from a single East Village storefront into a multi-state brand with dozens of locations, including several throughout San Diego County. The new North County sites will join existing locations in Rancho Bernardo, Encinitas, and Carmel Mountain, further increasing the chain's footprint in the region.
Guests at the new locations can expect the same menu of grilled and rotisserie meats, falafel, saffron rice, and an assortment of customizable salads and sides. The restaurant is especially known for its signature wraps, which feature fresh greens, yogurt sauce, tomato cucumber, and pickled onions, with the option to order them 鈥淪an Diego style鈥 with fries and feta cheese inside.
