We've combed through the and curated our top 8 dinner picks (though many spots also offer lunch & brunch options), , with an eye on exploring spots we haven't been to. Check out our breakdown of the ideal San Diego Restaurant Week 2025 lineup, make your reservations, and join us in supporting our city's vibrant culinary community. Bon appétit! Keep in mind, below are just sample menus and are subject to change.
Day 1:Ìý (North Park) - Kick off the week at one of San Diego’s premier Italian restaurants. Chef Accursio Lota has curated a standout menu for restaurant week. Start with the braised beef and veal meatballs, followed by the agnolotti egg yolk pasta (a worthwhile upcharge) filled with braised beef short ribs. End your meal with the refreshing Mousse al Limone.
Day 2:Ìý (Del Mar) - This chic sushi spot, located within an actual glass box at Sky Deck Del Mar, is offering a four-course meal priced at $50. For the first course, we'd opt for the Prosperity Salad, followed by an 8-piece sashimi tasting. Our third course would be a Mongolian-style beef filet sided by fried rice, and we can't wait to see what they serve for the chef's choice dessert!
Day 3: (Kensington)Ìý- We used to love frequenting Bleu Boheme's happy hour, so it would be exciting to return to this classic French Bistro. To start, I'd pick the Gnocchi a la Parisienne, which I recall loving. For the main course, the Boeuf Bourguignon sounds lovely and rich. For dessert, indulge in the Brioche aux Pommes, a delightful twist on bread pudding.
Day 4: (La Mesa) -ÌýChef Gabriela Lopez's restaurant has been calling our name since opening in 2023, so we'd make our way out to La Mesa to finally get a taste of her authentic Mexican cuisine. For the appetizer, the ceviche verde sounds light and refreshing. Keeping with the seafood theme, the Pescado Veracruz would be my choice of entrée. For dessert, the Pineapple Sweet Corn Cake sounds perfect.
Day 5: (Gaslamp) - Huntress raises the bar by offering an extra course instead of dessert—but their Magic Mushroom dessert might make you reconsider! Start with the steak tartare taco, followed by the little gem Caesar salad. For your entree, it’s hard to resist the Filet Mignon paired with creamy mashed potatoes. Ìý
Day 6: (Imperial Beach) - This South Bay gem has been on our radar. Begin with sausage-stuffed mushrooms drizzled with gorgonzola cheese sauce. For your entree, the Filetto al Pepe Verde pork loin in green peppercorn sauce sounds divine. Finish your meal with the intriguing chocolate salami for dessert.Ìý
Day 7:Ìý (Solana Beach) - A San Diego staple we've never tried, renowned Chef Jeffrey Strauss's Pamplemousse Grille has an excellent reputation for SDRW. To start, the Lobster Ravioli sounds incredible and adds to the value with the seared scallops. For the second course, the Miso Black Cod with rock shrimp and fried rice is very enticing. I'm a sucker for tiramisu, so that's my dessert choice.
Day 8: (Downtown San Diego Bayfront) - We haven't been to this bayfront perch in ages, so we'd finish restaurant week with this oldie but goodie. For starters, the Kanpachi Crudo sounds delicious. As for entrées, I'm torn between the local swordfish dish and the barramundi. A cocktail for dessert, that sounds perfect to end the January 2025 incarnation of San Diego Restaurant Week!
Make this a week to explore San Diego’s diverse culinary landscape while supporting area small businesses during a typically quiet time of year. Support local and enjoy all that America’s Finest City has to offer!
