The Taco Stand, founded by Aram Baloyan and Julian Hakim of Sh艒wa Hospitality, started its journey in La Jolla in November 2013 and has since expanded across multiple cities including San Diego, Encinitas, North Park, Kearny Mesa, and beyond to places like Miami, Dallas, and Las Vegas. The brand is renowned for its Tijuana-inspired food stand decor and commitment to providing a taste of traditional Mexican street food.
It's worth noting that The Taco Stand's choice of location in Oceanside places it in direct competition with established local Mexican eatery, Anita's Mexican Restaurant & Cantina. Similarly, the original La Jolla location is in close proximity to Don Carlos Taco Shop, another beloved local spot.
