The Boil Daddy Bringing Cajun Seafood To San Diego’s Liberty Station

Los Angeles-based seafood sensation The Boil Daddy is set to open its first San Diego location at Liberty Station, taking over the space that last housed Issara Thai.

Founded in 2020 by South Korean immigrant Jun Cho, The Boil Daddy began as a delivery-only concept in downtown Los Angeles with just $30,000 and a dream. Cho's vision was to bring the flavors of a traditional Cajun seafood boil to a wider audience. The concept quickly gained traction, earning a loyal following through word of mouth and social media buzz.Ìý

The menu at The Boil Daddy features a wide array of fresh seafood and customizable options. Highlights include the Fisherman’s Lunch with shrimp (with or without heads), mussels, or clams served with corn, potatoes, and sausage; Daddy’s Shrimp Bowl boasting a hearty mix of shrimp, potatoes, and sausage atop jasmine rice; and Daddy’s Noods with linguine pasta with parmesan, garlic chips, parsley, and your choice of seafood and sauce. Each dish allows diners to select spice levels, sauces, and add-ons, making every meal uniquely tailored. The Liberty Station location will offer a full dining experience and a selection of beer and wine.Ìý

From its humble beginnings, The Boil Daddy has grown rapidly, with 13 operational locations and ambitious plans to expand to over 50 locations by 2025. CEO Jun Cho, recently recognized on Forbes' 30 Under 30 list, credits the success to the concept's accessibility and strong franchise support model. The Boil Daddy locations are independently owned and operated by franchisees. Ìý

The Boil Daddy is set to open at some point in 2025 at 2558 Laning Road, Suite 102, in San Diego's Point Loma. For more information, visit .
