Slick City Action Park Set To Open First California Location In San Diego

Slick City Action Park, the innovative indoor amusement center known for its waterless slides and air courts, is preparing to open its first California location in San Diego County.

The San Diego location is set to open in Oceanside in late 2025 and will feature Slick City's signature attractions, including massive indoor slides, sports air courts, and multi-level soft play structures. Catering to families and thrill-seekers of all ages, the park also offers an onsite café with a range of food and drink options, from quick snacks to seasonal menu items like a Nashville-style beef burger topped with grilled onions, pickles, and melted cheese.

Founded in 2021, Slick City Action Park was created by Bron Launsby in partnership with Gary Schmit, the inventor of the patented Slick Slide technology. The brand has rapidly expanded, opening locations in Denver, St. Louis, Texas and Peoria, AZ, among others. As of 2024, the company boasts nine operational parks, with 17 under construction and 37 franchise territories awarded across the country.
The Oceanside park represents a significant milestone in Slick City's ambitious growth plan to establish 500 locations nationwide. With over 1,800 franchise inquiries and 34 patents filed or granted for its proprietary slide and park technology, Slick City continues to innovate in the adventure park industry.

CEO Bron Launsby, who recently received the Innovation Excellence Award from the International Adventure and Trampoline Parks Association, emphasized the importance of both corporate and franchise growth. "We’re committed to supporting our franchisees by opening corporate locations that allow us to refine operations and share insights," Launsby said.

Slick City Action Park is anticipated to debut in late 2025 at a yet to be disclosed address in San Diego's North County city of Oceanside. For more information, visitÌý.
