According to the San Diego Police Department, on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at approximately 9:18pm, a 28-year-old guard at American Junkie, located at 628 Fifth Avenue in Downtown San Diego, was attacked without provocation by a 23-year-old suspect as he was leaving the bar. The victim, despite serious injuries, tackled the assailant with help from patrons until police arrived. Officers provided first aid before medics transported the victim for surgery.Ìý
The victim was stabbed four times, suffering injuries to his neck, right shoulder, and abdomen. There is no word on the status of the victim. The suspect is now in custody and San Diego Police Central Detectives are investigating the incident.
