Nestled on a 14-acre peninsula in Mission Bay, the 71-year-old Bahia Resort Hotel is once again elevating its dining options. The property is transforming its former Tangier Bar into a new Italian restaurant concept called Bianchi, named after the famed Italian car manufacturer.
Bianchi's menu will feature wood-fired pizzas prepared in a custom oven, house-made pastas, classic Italian entrées, and fresh salads, all crafted in an open, glass-encased kitchen where diners can watch the chefs in action. The restaurant will also include a full bar offering Italian-inspired cocktails, spirits, beers, and a curated selection of wines.
This marks the Bahia's second major dining upgrade in recent years. In 2022, the resort opened Dockside 1953, a nautical-themed, indoor-outdoor restaurant specializing in coastal-inspired cuisine, including fresh seafood and comfort food favorites.
The Bahia Resort Hotel is part of Evans Hotels, a family-owned San Diego company established in 1953 by William D. and Anne Evans. In addition to the Bahia, Evans Hotels operates the Catamaran Resort in Pacific Beach and The Lodge at Torrey Pines in La Jolla. Currently helmed by Bill L. Evans, the company remains a cornerstone of San Diego's hospitality scene.
Bianchi is anticipated to open in April 2025 at 998 W Mission Bay Drive. For more information, visit .
