Dunkin' Donuts To Open Location In San Diego's Pacific Beach

A new location of classic American donut & coffee chain Dunkin’ Donuts is opening in San Diego's Pacific Beach.

The 16th San Diego Dunkin' Donuts store will open in the space that last housed a Starbuck's within Pacific Plaza shopping center in Pacific Beach. Like other San Diego branches, the incoming Pacific Beach Dunkin' Donuts is owned and operated by a local San Diego military veteran and experienced franchise group, Burton Restaurants LLC. The franchisee opened San Diego’s first Drive-thru Dunkin’ Donuts restaurant in National City in 2014, and over the past 9 years has opened or purchased locations on seven military bases with many other branches launched across San Diego.ÌýFranchisee Tali Burton is also in the process of bringing Jimmy John's fast-casual sandwich shops all around San Diego County, with the first branch anticipated to open by year's in the SDSU College Area.Ìý

Similar to several other area branches, the incoming PB outpost will feature the "store of the future" design. The location will have a cold brew tap system, which will allow the store to offer Nitro coffee, as well as a new front counter bakery case for an enhanced customer experience. The new Dunkin’ Donuts’ will include a modern design with more natural light, an innovative tap system serving consistently cold beverages, an area dedicated to mobile pickups, and a certified restaurant that is designed to save 25% more energy compared to a standard Dunkin’ Donuts eateries.
