Eppig Brewing鈥檚 new Waterfront Biergarten opens to the public this Friday, February 9. Nestled in the heart of America鈥檚 Cup Harbor, Eppig Brewing鈥檚 Waterfront Biergarten is San Diego鈥檚 first harborside brewery tasting room.
Eppig Brewing joins Shelter Island鈥檚 newest marina, Intrepid Landing, home to a two-time participant of the America鈥檚 Cup, the 12-meter yacht Intrepid. The marina development was formerly home to Kettenburg Boatworks. The new tasting room boasts an expansive 2,000 square-foot outdoor patio with scenic views of the Shelter Island marina and downtown San Diego skyline. Inside, the space is open and airy, with Eppig鈥檚 first beer recipe- Civility San Diego Summer Ale- scripted on the wall. The biergarten has 20 taps to serve Eppig鈥檚 wide range of award-winning beers, all of which are locally produced at their North Park brewhouse. The location will also offer fresh pre-packaged sandwiches and cheese trays prepared by local chef. While there is no parking immediately adjacent to Eppig Brewing鈥檚 new location, there is a large public parking lot located a short 3 minute scenic walk away on Shelter Island Drive in front of the Brigantine Restaurant.
This is Eppig Brewing鈥檚 first satellite tasting room. The 14-month old North Park-based brewery was named Best New Brewery in 2017 by multiple publications, in addition to wide recognition for its lagers, which pay tribute to the Eppig family鈥檚 brewing roots dating back to 1866 in Brooklyn, NY. In its first year, Eppig received multiple awards at San Diego International Beer Festival, Los Angeles International Beer Competition and the California State Fair.听
Eppig Brewing鈥檚 biergarten opens to the public Friday, February 9, with daily soft opening hours from 12-8pm. A grand opening celebration is planned for early March. For more information, visit and check out the food menu below.
