Heading into a new development at downtown San Diego's waterfront is Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse, a Texas-based upscale restaurant concept with many locations around the country.
First started in Irving, Texas, in 1981, Del Frisco's Restaurant Group is a collection of 53 restaurants across 23 states and Washington, D.C., including Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse, Sullivan's Steakhouse, and Del Frisco's Grille. The San Diego location of Double Eagle Steak House will install on the base floor of the North Embarcadero district as part of BRIC - the new redevelopment taking place where Broadway and Pacific Highway meet.
"We are thrilled to open our first San Diego restaurant and begin establishing a foothold for our flagship brand on the West Coast," said Norman Abdallah, Chief Executive Officer of Del Frisco's Restaurant Group, Inc. "We look forward to bringingÌýour award-winningÌýwine program, big and bold design and prime steaks to Californians, starting in San Diego."
The two-story Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse planned for BRIC South in downtown San Diego will face the waterfront and will be anchored by an InterContinental Hotel. Slated to open in October 2018, the site will contain a park designed as a walking corridor between the restaurant entrance and West Broadway, connecting visitors from the central business district to the waterfront. The restaurant will feature a dramatic staircase offering a transition from the ground level to the upper level, bars on both levels, as well as high ceilings with floor-to-ceiling windows facing the harbor. San Diego's Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse will also offer two private dining rooms in addition to patios on both levels to maximize the outdoor space in the beautiful San Diego climate.
